Queensland and Victorian Flooding
Reddog Technology is pleased to say that while some clients were significantly affected by the floods none of our clients had downtime as a result of them.
Because of the way Reddog Technology designs its infrastructure at no time during the floods did email or other important IT infrastructure go down, clients operated as usual. Reddog Technology offices and associated support services were unaffected (except phone lines) because all offices were specially selected to be above the 100 year flood mark.
During the floods Reddog Technology issued the following statement to all clients:

Good Afternoon,
If you are at risk of flooding or currently flooding DO NOT SAVE YOUR COMPUTER EQUIPMENT FIRST. You are prepared for this type of flooding (and worse) and insurance will cover the loss of computer hardware. We have your data backed up to two different locations and have stock to replace your equipment if its damaged. Save your unreplaceable property first and if you have time contact Reddog we will shutdown servers and computers and you can move them to desks or other high ground.
Please note if you have data stored on your computer and not on the server, please copy it to the server ASAP so it can be backed up.
1800 REDDOG and many other Telstra supplied phone lines in South East QLD have stopped working because of flooding. We are now using our backup phone lines, we can now be reached at (07)3503 1456. If you have a Reddog supplied phone system you may find the Reddog button has stopped working, please use our backup phone number instead.

Clients that were effected by floods were moved to disaster recovery offices where we had installed replacement equipment and they continued working like nothing had happened. Clients who could not move into a disaster recovery office had their damaged equipment replaced and they worked from home or other suitable locations. Disaster recovery offices were setup within hours of a client building being effected by floods.
We are now working with all clients who were effected by floods to get their buildings repaired.
All of the above products and services were provided free of charge to all our clients.
